    Banksia grandis, Bull Banksia, large divided grey-green foliage and long cylindrical yellow flowers. A mid sized banksia, Bull Banksia requires a free draining site that does not get waterlogged. Bull Banksia is marginal in areas with extreme frosts, in Tasmania it is best suited to protected and coastal sites. Tolerant of harsh conditions including coastal winds. The large ornamental  nectar rich flowers are a source of food for both birds and bees.
